Description

Position Description: The Security Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the security operations of the company by gathering, processing, and maintaining security-related documents and records. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a thorough understanding of security procedures and protocols. The Security Assistant will work closely with security personnel and management to ensure compliance with security requirements and regulations.

Title: Security Assistant

Location: San Antonio, Texas

Job summary:

Vighter LLC is seeking a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a thorough understanding of security procedures and protocols. The Security Assistant will work closely with security personnel and management to ensure compliance with security requirements and regulations.

Principle Accountabilities:

  1. Gather, review, and process security clearance applications, background checks, and other security-related documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  2. Verify the accuracy and completeness of security documents, ensuring that all required information and supporting documentation are provided.
  3. Coordinate with internal departments, external agencies, and vendors to obtain necessary documentation and information for security clearance processing.
  4. Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems for security documents and records, ensuring easy access and retrieval of information as needed.
  5. Track and monitor the status of security clearance applications and processing, providing regular updates and reports to management.
  6. Assist in the preparation and submission of security clearance packages and documentation to government agencies or other regulatory bodies.
  7. Provide administrative support to security personnel, including scheduling appointments, arranging meetings, and managing calendars.
  8. Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and confidentiality, adhering to security protocols and confidentiality agreements.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in security administration, document processing, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of security procedures, protocols, and regulations, with experience working in a security-related role.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google and experience with document management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and confidentiality.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit for more than 8 hours per day.
  • Must be willing to work overtime if necessary.
  • Must be able to use an elevator or walk up and down stairs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs. and carry up to 10 ft.
  • Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows/knees and reach above and below shoulders.
  • Must be able to read and interpret handwritten and typewritten print.
  • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
  • Must be able to perform duties in an indoor or outdoor environment.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation.
  • Must undergo urine drug testing.
